I will be having a long distance conversation with one of the most special nephews a guy could ask for. Unfortunately my nephew Patrick lives in Michigan and I live in New York and that really makes it difficult to spend as much time with him as I would like. When he was just a little guy he and I were best friends. we would spend a lot more time together and I really miss those special times. But I will treasure them for as long as I live.
Hey Patrick did you make it home safe? I really loved seeing you over the holidays, those are my favorite times.
Patrick replies Hi! 
Uncle Grant says ” Hey Patrick I know your not in school and I know you have more to say then just “hi ” so I expect to hear from my Buddy pretty soon, I miss you and I love you.”
Patrick says “I like Star Wars.”
Well Patrick I cannot say your talking my ear off but it is GREAT to hear from you. I know you have a Star Wars collection, why don’t you tell me some of the cool stuff you have in your collection.
Some background information for anyone who may be following along, this little kid, well he is no so little anymore, he has grown so much it amazes me everytime I see him, anyways he is an amazing little collector of subjects he gets involved with. When he takes an interest in something he really throws himself into the subject which usually leads to him starting a collection of items for that subject. Maybe we will get lucky and Patrick will tell us about his newest collection, personally I am a little jealous because I think it is really cool and I wish I had the same drive at his age to really take an interest of mine to the heights he takes them.
Well Patrick I think you should share with us some details of your newest collection. I miss you buddy and I love you with all my heart!
Well to all those who might be following along with my long distance conversation with my nephew Patrick. I did not think my little buddy was writing back to me but unfortunately he has been but my spam filter has been stopping all his messages. This breaks my heart! Patrick I would never ignore your messages and I am really sorry that this happened, I hope it does not discourage you from writing back to me, I think this is really special and I really love you and the fact that you would take the time to share your life with me just warms my heart.
I bet that car show you went to was pretty cool. Did you see any of the cars that you have in your collection while you were here?
I know you are pretty sad that your Mom is in Pittsburgh, but she will be back in no time and this gives you a great opportunity to spend some special time with your Dad, who I know Loves you very much. I bet if you tried to talk to your Dad about your Mom being gone he would listen and maybe be able to help you understand things a little better during this difficult time. I know your Dad pretty well I think and he has a great big heart and he wants the best for you, so maybe you could take this time alone with him and just have some special talks.
I bet if you ask him to just listen and let you talk about your feelings it would help both of you. When I saw you a couple of weeks ago and we talked a little bit I have to tell you that I felt as though I was talking to a mature young man, not the little kid I used to carry around on my shoulders.
I love you Patrick and I will talk to you soon, the mistake with the spam filter will not happen again, I just feel terrible about that.

today i went to the auto show. i saw a bunch of ford and g.m. cars.
there were some foreign cars too.
Wednesday i went to the auto show and saw a bunch of ford, g.m. and exotic cars. i saw the new Shelby gt500 (cobra). I will send you alot of cool pictures of cars i like from the show.
nothing new with me yet. but i did sleep over at my friend’s yesterday.

today i got some new Lego. i also saw one of my friends in toys r us.
Hi Patrick! How you doing little buddy? You slipped this message to me and again I was not on top of things. I should be setting a better example for you, if you have responsibilities you should definitely take care of them. I am supposed to check this site everyday but I have been really caught up in a book that I am writing. I know, I should not be making excuses!
So, how many thousands of Lego’s do you have? You have been collecting Lego’s for years, isn’t that right? It is kind of neat to run into a friend in a store where you live, it is such a populated area.
Hey, you have to tell me how cool that car show was, I would have loved to have been there with you. I really do think about you a lot, you are a very special young man and I just love you so much. Does your Dad have any projects going on at home? He is a talented person and I am sure he could teach you quite a bit when it comes to working around the house.
Well, I have not been doing anything very special EXCEPT for shopping for furniture for my baby that is on the way. I am very excited about that and we both really enjoy looking for all the things we will need for when she arrives. You will have a new cousin, isn’t that kind of exciting?

The CDs we were listening to in the car were called Master Strategies For Higher Achievement By: Brian Tracy, he is one of my favorite authors, I have a lot of his work. Make sure you let your Dad know that I purchase the rights to the Mp3 audio downloads with an unlimited number of downloads.
I do not want you to think is alright to purchase CDs in the store and make duplicate copies to distribute because that is basically stealing the work of someone else, and that is not what I am doing, I have paid for the rights to multiple downloads.
I actually have been putting together a nice little package of personal development CDs that I will be sending to you very soon. I need to purchase more blank CDs so I can put together one more program for you.
Do not be discouraged when you listen to some of these, they may seem a little to advanced for you at this point in time, but I believe you are a very intelligent young man with a lot of capabilities. I honestly believe you will pick up some good ideas from these programs even though some of the material might be a little advanced for you.
The nice thing about them is you can listen to them over and over again and always pick up something new. Like I showed you I listen to them every night and I actually fall asleep listening to them. As you mature you will always have these programs to turn to for some great life lessons.
I was very impressed with your interest in the goal setting methods that the author was speaking of and how quickly you picked up on the whole idea of setting goals for yourself in life. If you always have goals to work towards you will find more meaning and excitement in your life. I will be sending you a goals journal also so you will be able to determine some important goals you would like to set for yourself and commit them to writing just as I showed you I do every single night without fail.
You are going to do terrific Patrick and your going to accomplish wonderful things in your life. I think you are just an impressive, intelligent young man and I am proud to be your Uncle.

How are you doing little buddy! I have not had that much time to spend on my blog so I am sorry it has taken me so long to respond. I now have 9 websites up and running and it takes a lot of time to keep them going.
I have to tell you I had a GREAT time when you were down here with us for a couple of days and I cannot wait until we can do it again.
